The Australian Government is working with National Sporting Organisations to develop a greater awareness of the dangers of illicit drugs and the impact they can have on our athletes and the broader community.
Through the Illicit Drugs in Sport (IDIS) Program, the Government is supporting National Sporting Organisations to ensure Australian athletes, coaches and administrators have the education and support to make the right choices when it comes to illicit drugs.
The key messages of our program include:
Swimming Australia will continue to align itself with these important messages via the education of it's stakeholders, and through community awareness activities at major swimming events.

Swimmers had the opportunity to meet Olympian Thomas Fraser-Holmes at the IDIS Tent during the Australian Open Water Nationals on Sunday 10th February 2013. Information on Illicit Drugs in Sport (IDIS) was distributed as well as giveaways, posters and an opportunity for autographs.
