Close to 300 Age Group swimmers will head to the Hobart Aquatic Centre this weekend for the 2013 Fairbrother Tasmanian Age Championships from Saturday 9 March to Monday 11 March.
One of the major events on the Swimming Tasmania calendar, the meet will be a precursor for many to swim qualifying times for the 2013 Georgina Hope Swimmers Foundation Australian Age Championships to be held in Adelaide next month.
An increase in entries on last year will see a total of 297 athletes compete in the 66 event program over the three days, with swimmers from 17 Tasmanian clubs vying for that coveted state championship title.
Interstate swimmers from Victoria and NSW will also use the meet as a chance to qualify for the Australian Age Championships, with the swimmers competing aged 12-18.
The three-day event is proudly supported by Fairbrother, principal sponsor of swimming Tasmanian.
