VOLUNTEER AT THE 2018  OPEN WATER SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Be part of #OurTeam by becoming one of our Event Volunteers at the 2018 Open Water Swimming Championships in Adelaide.

We’ve got some exciting opportunities on offer and plenty of rewards for being part of #OurTeam.  You’ll gain new skills and practice old ones, meet new people and make industry contacts, be part of a fast-paced and energetic environment and, most importantly, have fun!

As a thank you, we’ll give you an exciting Swimming Australia pack and a formal reference at the end of the event.

To register for a role, just fill out the form in the link below. If your application is successful we’ll be in touch with you soon.

What roles are available?

Event Assistant

We’re looking for all-rounders who are willing to take on a varied role. Whether it’s helping to install signage or post-race athlete processing, this is a vital hands-on role that makes sure our event runs smoothly.

For this role, you don’t need any previous experience. We just need you to be confident, show initiative and have great problem solving skills, and have an interest in gaining event experience. You’ll also need a current Working with Children check.

This is a hands-on role, and some manual labour may be required.

Accreditation Assistant

We’re looking for volunteers with great people skills who can meet and greet individuals, issue them with their accreditation pass and tell them where they need to go. This is a great way to interact with athletes and our wider swimming community, and gain event management skills at the same time.

For this role, you don’t need any previous experience.  We just need you to be friendly, confident and organised, and have an interest in gaining event experience.  You’ll also need a current Working with Children check.
