Be part of the excitement over 4 days and nights, with swimming heroes Cam McEvoy, Cate Campbell, Ellie Cole, Kyle Chalmers and Mack Horton taking on Australia’s best to secure their place on the team. 
 
With the Hancock Prospecting Australian Swimming Trials just five weeks before the Games and in the same pool, this is your opportunity to get caught-up in the excitement of the biggest event ever to hit the Gold Coast.
 
As well as the spine tingling swimming action there will be plenty to enjoy out of the pool with our food and entertainment precinct, Centre Lane, sure to surprise and delight!

Heats: 11am till 1pm
Finals: 7:15pm till 10pm

  • Night 1 – Emma McKeon & Ariane Titmus (200m freestyle); Emily Seebohm, Madi Wilson, Sian Whittaker and Minna Atherton (100m backstroke); Cam McEvoy, Kyle Chalmers & Mack Horton (200m freestyle)
  • Night 2 – Cate & Bronte Campbell, Emma McKeon, Brit Elmslie & Shayna Jack (100m freestyle); Kyle Chalmers, Cam McEvoy, James Magnussen & James Roberts (100m freestyle)
  • Night 3 – Emma McKeon and Maddie Groves (100m butterfly); Mitch Larkin and Josh Beaver (200m backstroke); Jess Ashwood and Ariarne Titmus (800m freestyle)

VOLUNTEER AT THE 2018 HANCOCK PROSPECTING AUSTRALIAN SWIMMING TRIALS


Be part of #OurTeam by becoming a volunteer at the 2018 Hancock Prospecting Australian Swimming Trials on the Gold Coast. This is the official selection event for the team that competes at the Australian Commonwealth Games just 5 weeks later! 

With 4 days of swimming, the event is jam packed with action in and out of the pool. We’ve got some exciting roles on offer and lots of rewards for being part of #OurTeam. You’ll gain new skills and practice old ones, meet new people and make industry contacts, be part of a fast-paced and energetic environment and, most importantly, have fun!

Also if you need, we’ll give you a formal reference at the end of the event.

To register for a role, fill out our application form by midnight on Sunday 18th February 2018. We’ll be in touch with you once you submit your application.

For all of our roles, you’ll need to hold a current Working with Children Check, Blue Card or Police Check and be a minimum 16 years of age.

WHAT DAYS ARE AVAILABLE?
We’ll need volunteers every day between Wednesday 28th of February and Sunday 3rd March. We also need a few helping hands between Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th October to assist with set up and the pre-meet for athletes.

Heats sessions shifts will take place between 8:30am and 1:30pm.  Finals sessions shifts will take place between 4:30pm and 10pm.

Every volunteer will need to be available for a briefing session 4pm Sunday 25th February at the Optus Aquatic Centre Southport.

LOCATION OF EVENT
The event is taking place at the Optus Aquatic Centre in Southport on the Gold Coast.

TAKING CARE OF YOU
You will get an exclusive event shirt, hat, event access for your shift day as well as a meal and water during your volunteer shift.

Also, as mentioned above, we’ll give you a formal reference at the end of the event.
