Career Highlights

At the 2010 Commonwealth Games, James won a gold medal swimming the anchor leg in the 4x100m freestyle relay 

James won a gold medal in the 100m freestyle and 4x100m freestyle relay, and silver in the 4x100m medley relay at the 2011 FINA World Championships in Shanghai.

He won a silver and bronze medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in the 100m freestyle and 4x100m medley relay respectively 

James successfully defended his 100m freestyle world title at the 2013 FINA World Championships in Barcelona.

In 2014 he won gold in the 100m freestyle at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow

Returned from injury to make the Rio 2016 Olympic team and helped his 4x100m freestyle relay team to bronze
