Nicole Livingstone

Across her career, Nicole Livingstone won seven gold, eleven silver and 6 bronze medals from major Championships. In 1997 she was awarded Order of Australia Medal for service to swimming as a representative at state, national and international level.

Fourteen of Livingstone’s 24 medals from major championships, were won at Pan Pacific Championships. Notably, Nicole is the only Australian swimmer to compete at six successive Pan Pacs.

Her first Pan Pac medals came in 1987 where she won Gold in the 100m and 200m Backstroke, breaking the Commonwealth Record in both events. In 1989 Livingstone collected silver in the 100m backstroke and 4x100m medley relay while she finished with bronze in the 200m backstroke.

The 1991 event in Edmonton, Alberta saw Nicole head home with three silver medals and two bronze medals, while in 1993 she won silver as part of the 4x100m medley relay.

At her final Pan Pacs in 1995, Livingston won gold in the 200m backstroke and 4x100m medley and claimed silver in the 100m backstroke.
