Junior Dolphins team announced for 2023 World Championships in Israel

The Australian Junior Dolphins team has been selected to compete at the 2023 World Junior Championships in Netanya, Israel from the 4^th – 9^th September 2023.

Athletes and Coaches were selected through from their outstanding results at the recent Australian Age & Open Championships.

“It was fantastic to see so many wonderful performances at this year’s competition, it is a real credit to everyone involved in the sport and a great way to celebrate being back to an uninterrupted swimming programming after COVID” said Gary Barclay, GM Performance Pathways.

This tour provides athletes, coaches & team staff with the opportunity to learn, develop, compete, and hone the skills required to successfully transition into the senior team.

The team of 30 athletes and 6 coaches will be led by Simon Cusack as Team Head Coach. Team coaches selected for the tour are James Boyce (MCA), Jol Finck (Nunawading), Michaela Pattinson (Carlile), Kyle Samuelson (Bond), Richard Sleight (St Peters) and Ben Tuxford (Trinity Grammar).

The team will depart for Staging Camp in Paphos, Cyprus on the 25 August 2023. “We’re really looking forward to getting into camp and are excited by the depth of talent representing Australia on the world stage” said Barclay.
