Masters join State of the Art Swim Central

Swimming Australia and Masters Swimming Australia are excited to unveil a new joint initiative aimed at further connecting our swimming pathways to encourage participation for life.

Already working side by side in Swimming Australia’s Melbourne Head Office, the collaborative relationship has been enhanced with the news Masters members will now be processing their annual membership via the national governing body’s state of the art registration and membership platform, Swim Central.

Following a successful pilot of a series of Masters events using Swim Central, the full transition for Masters members came into effect on November 1st.

Masters Swimming Australia General Manager, Sarah Pisterman, believes it is welcome news for Masters members.

We have worked hard with Swimming Australia to ensure a seamless migration of our members to Swim Central,” Pisterman said.

This is a great achievement to have the junior and masters swimming community together using the same system and allows us to plan for better streamlining of the sport across the full lifespan of the pathway.

Masters Swimming Australia has almost 7,000 members across Australia from more than 200 different clubs, as well as an annual calendar of over 100 meet events including the National Championships, Branch (State) Championships, Interclub and Club and Postal swims.

Swimming Australia Executive General Manager – Sport Development, Kirin Lindop, welcomed the opportunity to further strengthen the relationship between both organisations.

The alignment with Masters Swimming Australia is invaluable in ensuring our swim for life vision is achieved,” Lindop said.

We will continue to work with Masters to ensure the swimming pathway is strengthened through connection and partnerships.
