Medal Rush Continues for Junior Dolphins in Hawaii
The Junior Dolphins have continued their impressive performances on day 2 of the Junior Pan Pacs in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The rising Australian team won a further 7 medals on the second day of competition, including 2 Gold.
Flynn Southam secured the Freestyle double, with his second Junior Pan Pacs record in as many days to claim the Men’s 100m in 48.23. Fellow Australian Jamie Mooney took Bronze in the same race.
Southam then backed up to join teammates Anders McAlpine, Joshua Staples and Marcia Da Silva in a commanding performance to claim Gold in the 4x200m Freestyle relay.
Milla Jansen and Olivia Wunsch both medalled in the Women’s 100m Freestyle, with Silver and Bronze respectively behind American Erin Gemmell, while Isabella Johnson also swam her way onto the podium with a Bronze medal in the Women’s 100m Breaststroke.
It takes the Junior Dolphins medal tally to 13 through two days of the Junior Pan Pacs, with 4 Gold, 6 Silver and 3 Bronze.
