Achievements

Since representing Australia for the first time in 2009 at the Oceania Paralympic Championships in Darwin, Kelly has competed at two Paralympic Games (London 2012 and Rio 2016), as well as national and world champs. In 2014 he won two gold medals at the Para Pan Pacific Championships in Pasadena (USA) and most recently, he claimed silver medals in the Men’s 50m Breaststroke (SB3) and Mixed Freestyle Relay (20 Points) at the 2018 Pan Pacific Para Championships on home soil in Cairns. Affectionately known as ‘Liquid Nails’, Kelly currently trains in Canberra under the watchful eye of coach, Yuriy Vdovychenko.
