Achievements
After dominating Australian open water competitions since the tender age of 13, Gubecka received her first Olympic call up four years later when she was only 17 years old. Travelling to Rio in 2016, the Queenslander competed in the Women’s 10km Open Water event and finished in a respectable 15th position. Prior to making the Dolphins Olympic team, Gubecka also represented Australia at the 2013 World Championships and was named Swimming Australia's ‘Open Water Swimmer of the Year’ in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
