Achievements

Former equal World Record holder, Wilson clocked 2:06.67 to equal the 200m breaststroke WR in Gwangju at the World Championships in July 2019. Going on to win silver in the final, Wilson touched 0.56 behind Russia's Anton Chupkov who broke Wilson's record shared with Japan's Ippei Watanabe. Wilson had a stellar 2018, picking up bronze in the 200m breaststroke at both the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast and at the Pan Pacific Championships in Tokyo. A Commonwealth Record at the 2019 Australian Championships in Adelaide put the world on notice with his sizzling time of 2:07.16 for the 200m breastroke. Later in the year at the 2019 World Champions, Wilson won a gold with the 4x100m medley and silver in the men's 200m backstroke.
