Achievements

Training under the guidance of Clinton Camilleri at Auburn Swim Club in New South Wales, Hodge made his first Dolphins team in 2015 when he qualified for the world para champs team. Since his first international outing, Hodge has gone from strength to strength and has also competed at the 2018 Para Pan Pacs, the 2018 Commonwealth Games, the coveted Paralympics in 2016 and the World Para Championships in 2019.

In 2018 he took home seven medals between events, including four golds at the Para Pan Pacs. At the 2019 Australian Swimming Championships, Hodge set a new world record to take gold in the Men’s 50m Backstroke Multi-Class race and fittingly, he broke the record in the very pool named after the athlete who set the record of 29.80 in 2007 – South Australian’s own Paralympian, Matt Cowdrey. Away from the pool, Hodge loves fishing with his family and is currently studying electrical engineering at university.
