Achievements
Mahoney is considered a late bloomer in his swimming career, having first represented Australia in 2012 at the World Cup. At this competition, he won three medals at the age of 22. Fast forward four years and Mahoney successfully made his debut Olympic appearance in Rio 2016. Hailing from Melbourne, he trained at Nunawading under Rohan Taylor before moving to Adelaide in 2017 and joining Peter Bishop’s squad.
