Swimming Australia is committed to the development of all swimmers and recognises the extremely important role that parents play in the support and development within swimming. A range of resources have been developed to assist parents in this role.
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn to swim, and to do so in a fun, safe and friendly environment. An enjoyable learning experience could be the start of a life-long love of swimming, whether that’s competitive or as part of an active and healthy lifestyle.
Our junior participation products are now available for learn-to-swim providers to help get that journey off to the best possible start. These give you and your children a fun and engaging swimming experience from the first sight of water to completing a 50m freestyle in a personal best time!
If you are a Parent or Guardian of swimmer at the start of their journey, you may also like to check out our Community section of the website.
Resources for Parents
- Parents' Guide to Clean Sport
The Parents’ Guide to Clean Sport is available both as a brochure and as a short 15-20min online course, and covers topics such as healthy sport cultures, nutrition, the risks of supplements and doping risk factors, and includes links to websites for further useful information.
Links to both can be found on the ASADA website.
