2021 Hancock Prospecting Australian Swimming Championships

Event Details

The 2021 Hancock Prospecting Australian Swimming Championships will see Australian titles awarded to open and top age athletes. Heats will be swum combined with three finals per event, with the youngest age swum first.

In a point of difference to recent program schedules, finals will be swum in the morning and heats in the evening, replicating and preparing athletes for what they will experience in Tokyo.

Location details will be shared with the swimming community once confirmed. 

Pre-meet training

Tuesday 13 April 2021

9:00am – 12:00pm

3:00pm – 6:00pm

Wednesday 14 April 2021

9:00am – 12:00pm


Wednesday 14 April – Sunday 18 April 2021

(warm-up commences 2 hours prior to the session start time)

Heats: 6:00PM

Finals: 10:00AM

Qualifying time must be achieved after 1 January 2019.

The minimum age for open events is 13 years for females and 14 years for males as at the first day of competition.

Age is taken as at 14 April 2021.

Medal ceremonies for this meet will be delivered in a condensed format throughout each morning session.

Swimming Australia will continually reassess qualifying times for National Events due to the evolving COVID-19 situation to ensure that swimmers (from affected areas) are not disadvantaged in qualifying.
