Kai Edwards has bolstered his international rankings with a 12th place finish for Australia in the Men's 10km.
Back at Odaiba Marine Park for day two of the marathon swimming competition, Australian Dolphin Kai Edwards pulled on the golden cap for his first shot at Olympic glory.
Swimming with the scenic backdrop of Tokyo's cityscape throughout the swim, Edwards finished in twelfth place with a time of 1:53:04.0.
The 22-year-old booked his ticket to Tokyo with a fifth-place finish at the final Olympic Qualifying event in Portugal only eight weeks prior, rounding out the 37-strong Australian Olympic swimming team.
