Final night fever

Kyle Chalmers (Marion) is back in action at his home pool for the final night of racing at the 2019 Hancock Prospecting Australian Swimming Championship as he competes in the ‘splash and dash’ – the Men’s 50m Freestyle. But it is Grayson Bell (TSS Aquatics) who will head into the final in lane four with William Stockwell (Rackley) in lane five.

Paralympic Champion Ellie Cole (Knox Pymble) is the top qualifier ahead of the Women’s 100m Freestyle Multi-Class race as she looks to add to her medal tally at the meet.

Mitch Larkin (St Peters Western) will be looking to make it 18 national titles as he heads into tonight’s final of the Men’s 200m Backstroke but will have strong competition from Tristan Hollard (Southport Olympic) and Cameron Tysoe (Ginninderra), who qualified first and second fastest.

The Men’s 100m Freestyle Multi-Class will see Rowan Crothers (Yeronga Park) compete for the spoils with strong competition from Jason Braeden (USC Spartans) and Ricky Betar (Auburn).

In her final race of the meet, Cate Campbell will contest for the Women’s 50m Butterfly title. The Commonwealth Games gold medallist will be going up against local Marion swimmer Ellysia Oldsen who qualified second fastest.

Head down to the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre to catch all the action with Age finals beginning at 5:30pm, or tune in on 7Two from 8:00pm.
