Matthew Wilson made his debut at the World Championships 2017. It was here at Budapest where Wilson swam his way towards a silver medal in the 4x100m mixed relay. Following Budapest, Matt competed in the 2018 Pan-Pacific Championships in Tokyo coming away with a bronze in the 200m breaststroke. But it was his performance at the 2018 Commonwealth Games where Wilson achieved his first gold medal in the 4x100m medley. These previous impressive efforts helped Wilson solidify a spot on the 2020 Tokyo Olympic team where he competed in both the 100m and 200m breaststroke.
Since Tokyo, Matt Wilson has added yet another silver medal to his collection where he raced in the 4x100m mixed medley.
