Bio
Relatively new to the Dolphin’s national swimming team, however, William Yang has had no difficulties fitting in amongst the international competition. His first appearance as a Dolphin came at the 2022 World Championships. If there was any nerves Yang certainly didn’t show it. Yang opened up his professional medal tally with a silver medal in the 4x100m freestyle relay. Just 6 days later Yang was looking at a gold medal after his effort in the mixed 4×100 freestyle relay.
Clearly comfortable mixing with the best of the swimming competition, William Yang once again proved himself a worthy adversary at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Yang flew home with 2 gold medals around his neck in the 4x100m freestyle relay and the mixed 4x100m freestyle relay, alongside a silver in the 4x100m medley relay.
