Guzman y Gomez Partners with Swimming Australia for second year at Age and Open Champs

Swimming Australia and Australia’s fastest-growing fast-food company, Guzman y Gomez (GYG), are back to offer seconds at the Gold Coast next month.

GYG has returned as an official sponsor of the 2024 Australian Age Championships (6th-14th April) and the Australian Open Championships (17th-20th) at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre.

GYG is on a mission to reinvent fast food. From the 100% Clean food (no added preservatives, no artificial flavours, no added colours and no unacceptable additives) to fresh Mexican food, GYG has always challenged what they know of traditional fast food by creating convenient, delicious and freshly prepared food that is good for you.

GYG is fast food that Paralympian Keira Stephens, and Olympians Chelsea Hodges and Brendon Smith say yes to.

Join GYG at the largest event on the Swimming Australia calendar, where thousands of athletes, their families, and fans of swimming will have the chance to get limited-edition GYG merch, vouchers, and special offers.

GYG has more than 210 restaurants across Australia, US, Singapore and Japan which are all countries being represented by swimmers at these championships.

Guzman y Gomez partnership with Swimming Australia reinforces GYG’s commitment to sport at all levels in Australia.

“We are excited to be partnering with Swimming Australia for the Australian Age and Open Championships for a second year! Swimming is a highly competitive sport with committed and loyal fans. We know what high performance looks like and we are incredibly proud to be supporting the next generation of athletes,” a GYG spokesperson said.

“At GYG our mission is to reinvent fast food because we believe fast food does not have to be bad food. The partnership is an amazing opportunity to serve up fresh, Clean and delicious food to athletes and fans as they head to the Gold Coast. GYG really is fast food that athletes say yes to!”

Executive General Manager of Commercial Jodie Hawkins said Swimming Australia was delighted to partner again with GYG in what is one of the most anticipated events in the swimming community.

“This is a significant announcement for SA and GYG and we are thrilled to have them back part of our swimming family again,” she said.

“GYG has a national – and international footprint – of over 800,000 guests a week and we look forward to connecting thousands and thousands of swimming fans with what is a great choice in healthy eating.

“There is also the chance to make your own fan poster to give a shout out to your favourite athlete at the meet thanks to GYG – it was a popular activation last year on pool deck and no doubt our swimmers are looking forward to having them back on site this year.”

Athletes and fans will be able to get their healthy Mexican fix at their local GYG.
