Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ Dekkers was first introduced to international competition representing the Australian Dolphins swim team at the Budapest World Championships in 2022. However, Dekkers is best known for her appearance at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games that same year. Dekkers was confident through her heats for the 200m Butterfly which resulted in her claiming her spot in the final. The competition however was no match for Lizzie as she was able to surge through to the front position and take the top spot on the podium.

Dekkers has proven that she is a hot competitor in the water and will only continue to show this in the future.
