Webinars and Workshops

Swimming Australia Body Empowerment workshops/presentations are available for any audience (coaches, parents/supporters, swimmers, support staff), and can be delivered via a blended learning model including:

  • Online live webinars
  • Face-to-face workshops
  • Online learning modules
  • Listen & learn audio modules

Live Online Webinars hosted by Body Empowerment:

There are a range of topics aimed at specific groups of the swimming community that will be offered free of charge via online webinar. Please note that these may be recorded, but will not be available for dissemination.

You can read a description of each workshop in the section below and please see the Calendar of Events below and register to attend any workshop by clicking the Register link beside the workshop name and description.

These webinars are:

  • Body Empowerment at the pool (for Swimmers)
  • Body Empowerment at the pool (for Coaches)
  • Body Empowerment in the daily training environment (for Performance Support Staff)
  • Body Empowerment at home (for Parents/Supporters)
  • Environment and Language Guide for Discussing and Managing Physique: an introduction (open session)
  • Eating Disorders – what you most need to know (for Coaches)
  • Eating Disorders – what you most need to know (for Performance Support Staff)
  • Eating Disorders – what you most need to know (for Parents)

Workshops

There are also a range of specialist topics available for delivery by a member of the Body Empowerment Team or qualified health professional contacts in the community, specifically trained in this field. These sessions can be delivered to a specific audience (e.g. swimmers or parents), or a combined audience.

Please note that these workshops or information sessions are NOT funded by Swimming Australia, and fees will need to be negotiated with the speaker.

Who can attend a workshop and how to register?

These workshops have been designed with specific audiences in mind. It is noted in the description if a broader range of people might find the topic relevant to their role.
